Life has a remarkable way of illuminating what truly matters, especially during our darkest hours. Through one of the most challenging chapters of my life, I leaned on those closest to me, and as I rebuilt my life, my purpose, values and gratitude became stronger than ever before.
There are times when life throws you a curve ball, and before you know it, everything is changing. For me, that came in 2019 when I faced my biggest challenge: navigating through a divorce. This tumultuous experience became an unexpected yet profound teaching moment, leading me on a journey of self-discovery and transformation.
With three sons, Braiden, Dawson and Calvin, my priority is always to be there for them. Although I couldn't fully grasp their experience, I could empathize with their pain. Throughout this challenging period, my most vital role was ensuring they had a stable and loving home. I wanted to lead by example, demonstrating how to rebuild and find the silver lining in the darkest of times.
In need of some direction, I began to reflect on my past and those who had influenced me so deeply. My father's unwavering work ethic and willingness to help people, my mother's tireless efforts at home caring for the family and my pastor who taught me to balance work with family, embracing generosity and cherishing moments of joy inspired me.
Living with intention became my mantra. Daily practices of meditation, reading and spending time with my children, friends and family became essential. My faith, always a guiding force, now provided even greater comfort. The supportive community within my church and the wisdom of others helped carry me through the darkest hours.
But perhaps the most significant lesson was the revelation of the power of relationships and service. Through real estate, community involvement and my closest bonds, I discovered the capacity to make a difference in the lives of others.
While money and success can be great motivators, it was through this journey of healing that I recognized my true purpose: helping and serving others.
With a clear sense of purpose, I finally felt I had found direction in life again. Just as I was truly starting to rebuild, I met Shandra, who fit right into the new chapter I was starting. As the owner of a women’s life coaching business, her strength and independence are qualities I deeply admire. We are happily married and recently bought a home in Ft. Collins together. With children of her own and two granddaughters, it has been a special experience blending our families.
Shandra’s unwavering support and understanding have only made my mission in life clearer. Through real estate, I want to help families just like ours through their homeownership journey. It is such an important financial and life decision, and I want to honor that with full dedication to my clients. It makes me proud to empower people to take the next steps in their journey and start a new chapter!
Throughout this experience, I have come to realize that life is about more than personal achievements; it is about forging connections, serving with joy and having intention behind everything you do. As my sons get older, with two in college, I want to encourage them to try new things and challenge themselves to find their true purpose and passion in life. When they face difficulties, I hope my experience serves as a reminder that you can always rebuild and start again, learning from your past and stepping into the future a better version of yourself.
Adventure is a big part of my life outside of work. My family and I enjoy going skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, fishing – you name it; if it gets us out of the house, we are ready to give it a try! Shandra and I also work with our church's college ministry group. It is just another way for us to give back and use our experiences to help others.
I take immense pride in my work ethic and dedication to my clients. My promise is simple: I provide all the information my clients need to make informed decisions at their own pace. I learned the importance of this before I was even a REALTOR® when I sold my home and realized I wasn't given all the options available to me. When I became a professional in this industry, I vowed to treat people with respect and ensure they felt valued. My focus is on building meaningful relationships with clients. It's incredibly rewarding to see them become friends. The buying and selling process is very serious, but I believe it can be fun, too. I strive to add humor when appropriate, making the process enjoyable and exciting.
Applying 18+ years of experience, I offer strategies and best practices to achieve your goals, whether buying your first home, upgrading, flipping properties or building portfolios. My goal is to be your trusted lifelong partner in your real estate journey, waking up every morning with the intention of making your experience successful, informative and fun!
